The eDrum Workshop

HALL 8

The eDrum Workshop is all about getting the best out of your electronic and hybrid drums. Going live for the first time, join Luke in workshops that cover a breadth of eDrum topics from the basics of getting your kit to feel just right, to mastering your electronics live on stage. You’ll also get the opportunity to try out some electronic drum products in a relaxed setting, or pick Luke’s brain on anything eDrums by booking a 10 minute 1-to-1 slot.

The eDrum Workshop

Quickly gaining an audience through a YouTube channel with tutorials, tips and product reviews, The eDrum Workshop soon expanded to a digital download store offering expertly crafted plug-and-play kits, instruments and samples to take your drum module to the next level. Drawing on over a decade’s worth of experience with electronics in a live setting, The eDrum Workshop’s custom kits deliver the impact of acoustic drums that’s usually lost in the transition.

The scope of the workshop continued to grow last year with Luke taking bookings for 1-on-1 setup sessions and consultations to cover all of your e-kit needs. Whether you’re setting up the kit for the first time or you just need a hand dialling in that final 10 percent, get in touch or book a 10 minute slot at the show to discuss how Luke can help.

Luke Hesketh

As a touring drummer with more than 20 years behind an acoustic kit, founder Luke Hesketh understands that many people are unenthused about moving over to electronic drums, especially if it’s out of circumstance.

“I felt the same frustration when I first took my electronic kit out to gigs. The PA sounded completely different to my headphones, that instant tactile feedback just wasn’t there and the usual judgements about ‘real kits’ were on people’s lips before we even played a note. I worked hard to make the kit sound great out front with no sound engineer and also improve the playing experience so I could just enjoy the show! It might take a while to shift audience perception, but I believe that starts by getting those elements right.”

This obsession with sound, feel and detail has allowed Luke to gain the trust of the eDrum community with his thorough videos and successful store, as well as work with various brands as an independent beta tester where he has helped to shape and improve milestone electronic drum releases.
