We are rebuilding the Drum Dog studio inside the show. The wall, the rug, the lighting, the mics, the full kit, the atmosphere. Every detail.
It is our creative home placed directly in the middle of the UK Drum Show. It is Drum Dog in full 3D reality, and you are invited in to experience what it feels like from the inside.
We keep seating intentionally limited so every session feels close, personal and real, true to how we create.
Across the weekend, we will be hosting exclusive filmed sessions. Honest conversations, deep dives into the craft and the kind of in the moment reactions you can only get when the cameras are rolling and the room is full of drummers who get it.
We will announce next year’s guests soon. They are TBA for now. What we can say is this. Last year we worked with drummers like Steve White, Robert Brian, Richard Jupp and Sam Jones for workshops. That gives you an idea of the level of talent we bring into the room.
Expect the same calibre. Expect inspiring players with real stories to share. Expect the kind of access you simply cannot get from the main stage.
You will be only feet away. You can ask questions. You can join the moment, not just watch it.
We are adding more gear review sessions this year because you asked for them and because we also love any excuse to hit things repeatedly and call it “testing”. There is nothing quite like hearing gear in a real room, played by real drummers, with honest reactions.
Expect the truth. Not the brochure version. Not the “this cymbal is perfect for every genre” nonsense.
You will hear how gear behaves when it is actually played by real drummers, not stroked gently for a promo video. You will see us try things, adjust things and occasionally discover something that sounds far better than it has any right to.
We will also once again host long form interviews with some of the most talked about drummers at the show. Everyone is TBA for now. What we can say is that last year we interviewed Antonio Sánchez, Mel Gaynor, Gavin Harrison and Vicky O’Neon. You know the level of musicianship and experience these players bring.
These interviews always go deeper. We talk about the turning points, the struggles, the breakthroughs and the parts of the journey most drummers never get to hear.
And yes, you can ask your own questions too.
In a show full of noise and spectacle, this is the quiet space where the truth comes out. It is where we drummers finally get to hear what really goes on behind the scenes.
A few parts of the weekend might be kept exclusive for Drum Dog members. This could include interviews or behind the scenes filming.
