Max Rush, known on stage as Max Rockz, is a self-taught 12-year-old drummer from Newcastle upon Tyne, already making waves with his high-energy performances and undeniable passion for music. Fuelled by a love for rock and metal, Max has brought his explosive drumming style to local festivals and live sets outside St. James’ Park, always drawing a crowd with his infectious energy and flashy stick tricks.

Inspired by a mix of heavy and alternative artists like Slipknot, Black Sabbath, Sam Fender, YUNGBLUD, and Soft Play, Max blends intensity with showmanship. His biggest drumming influences include Joey Jordison, Drew Michael, Chad Smith, Isaac Holman, and Tré Cool, and you can hear echoes of their unique styles in his performances.

When he’s not behind the kit, Max is usually watching drummers on YouTube, dressing up as his favourite rock heroes, or out on the pitch playing football. With natural talent, raw dedication, and a stage presence well beyond his years, Max Rockz is a rising star you won’t forget.
