Ellie is a London-based session drummer who has enjoyed every second of her career. She has toured predominantly with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics since he DM’d her on Instagram in 2023, as well as with a wide range of artists across many different genres, including Michael Aldag, Caity Baser, Jo Hill, Jack Kane, Sophie and the Giants, Maggie Lindemann, Nafe Smallz, Ber, and many more.

Ellie’s love for the drums started at a young age and was only amplified when her dad’s friend bought her a drum kit for Christmas purely to annoy her parents. Little did he know it would become a lifelong obsession, leading to an exciting career touring the world, playing drums, and creating music.

Growing up in London, Ellie took every gig she was legally allowed to from the age of 16 while studying music at college and working at the O2 Arena. She spent those years connecting with and learning from as many people as possible until, in 2021, musical director Ashton Miranda asked her to play drums for Michael Aldag, marking the beginning of her touring career.

She draws inspiration from a wide range of drummers, including Stewart Copeland, Keith Moon, Steve Jordan, Nikki Glaspie, Carlton Barrett, Cindy Blackman, Clyde Stubblefield, and her college tutor, Marley Drummond.

Throughout her career, Ellie has developed a love for, and appreciation of, adapting to different musical styles and live performance environments. From pop, rock, rap, and country to incorporating electronic drums and percussion into electronic music setups, she has embraced every opportunity to expand her skill set. More recently, this has extended into musical direction, songwriting, and studio drumming.

Ellie has enjoyed every new musical endeavour and the endless opportunity to learn and grow from each show, session, and tour, but most importantly from the people she meets along the way.
