UK-based Finnish drummer and percussionist Vicky O’Neon returns to the UK Drum Show with a live demonstration of Ableton Live, a powerful tool that is becoming more and more useful for drummers today. Vicky’s session will explore some of the many possibilities Ableton Live has to offer for live performances. She will use her impressive live looping setup of drums, percussion and electronics to break down and demonstrate how live looping works in Ableton Live and also talk about playback and other live performance elements Live is used for.

Vicky is a passionate Ableton Live user and she is incorporating Live into her work as a performer. Some of her work experience includes programming and creating the playback rig for Anastacia and using Ableton to program electronic drums and live loops for the opening concert of the Eurovision and Olympics Team GB’s Homecoming Concert at Wembley Arena. In 2023 she performed at Herfstfest Drumfestival in Netherlands and Belgium with a unique Ableton Live looping set.

Vicky is the American pop star Anastacia’s touring drummer. Vicky has played on TV live performances like the opening of the Eurovision (BBC), the Queens Platinum Jubilee (ITV) and Team GBs homecoming from the Olympics (BBC) at Wembley with artists like Nile Rodgers, Anne-Marie, Kaiser Chiefs, Heather Small, Zara Larsson, Steps and YungBlud and many more. She has also worked with Brian May and Hans Zimmer and plays in the houseband for the American TV show ‘Name That Tune’. Vicky is also an educator and co-founder of the non-profits Girls Rock London and Rock Donna. She has created an educational YouTube series called ‘Drumming Through The Decades’.
