At the UK Drum Show, visitors will be among the first to see the new Keough Drum Co collection, including the official launch of two new snare drum families: VALATONE and PLYMATIC.

VALATONE explores the character of metal, featuring handmade brass snare drums where material, surface, finish and traditional metalworking techniques give each instrument its own identity.

PLYMATIC is Keith’s new approach to the ply shell, bringing together carefully selected timbers, distinctive veneers and his own shell construction philosophy to create a contemporary British-made wooden snare drum.

Alongside the drums will be a selection of Keough Drum Co hardware and accessories, giving visitors a closer look at the smaller details and components that form part of Keith’s approach to drum design.

Visitors are encouraged to come in, look around, ask questions and talk drums. Keith will be in the room throughout the weekend to discuss the instruments, the processes behind them and his philosophy on drum building, from shell construction and materials to hardware, finishes and the countless small details that can change the character of an instrument.

Whether you’re a drummer, collector, drum builder or simply fascinated by how instruments are made, Hall 5 is an opportunity to discover Keough Drum Co at the very beginning of its story.
