Abbie Finn

Described as “one to watch” in the April 2023 edition of Jazzwise magazine, Abbie Finn is the 1st place winner of the 18+ age group of the 2023 Hit Like A Girl UK contest. She studied Jazz drums at Leeds Conservatoire and received a master’s degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.

Her jazz group, the Abbie Finn Trio, have been featured at venues across the UK and released their debut album “Northern Perspective” in 2020 and their follow-up, “On Pink Lane” in 2023. Abbie also regularly performs with her hardbop quintet, “The Finntet”, and can often be found drumming for a variety of England’s top contemporary jazz artists.

For her appearance at The UK Drum Show, Abbie will be joined by her partner, Jazz saxophonist Harry Keeble.

Bunnie Greenhalgh

Bunnie Greenhalgh is a 16-year old drummer who has been playing drums since she was 8. Having just passed her grade 8 drumming exams, Bunnie is currently focused on developing her technique, flexibility and ability to play a wider variety of musical styles.

In addition to drumset, Bunnie plays in the percussion section of the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra and she recently had the opportunity to perform alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra. She passed her GCSE exams this spring and plans to study Music, Math and Biology in Sixth Form in the fall.

In the past year, Bunnie entered both the prestigious UK Young Drummer of the Year competition, where she placed in the top 40, and the Hit Like A Girl contest, where she was selected as an International Finalist and placed 1st in the under 18 age group of the UK regional.

Of her upcoming appearance at the UK Drum Show, Bunnie says, “I am looking forward to learning from other talented musicians in attendance and to showing what I have been working on.”
