Meinl Percussion is excited to announce that artists Nathan Shinger and Alex Magni will be performing live in the brand new Percussion experience room at The UK Drum Show 2026 to deliver a unique crossover performance.
You can expect to witness an unbelievable fusion of modern drumming and traditional percussion. While Nathan will be bringing his electrifying style of playing on his drum kit that’ll consist of his regular drums with an array of percussion additions making up a neat hybrid set up, Alex will be alongside him with is traditional percussion rig of Congas, Bongos, Timbales, Cajon and much more.
For drummers, percussionists and musicians alike, this performance will be pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and for sure is one you won’t want to miss.
Meet The Players
NATHAN SHINGLER
Nathan Shingler, also known as FORC3, is a fast rising modern drummer who graced the Main Stage at The UK Drum Show 2025 and confirmed why he’s one of the UK’s most exciting young players.
Nathan’s first major impression was made on the drum scene when he won UK Young Drummer of the Year in 2019 and he’s since gone on to build on an impressive career across the UK Jazz scene. His unique style of playing has seen him work with artists including Ashley Henry, Reuben James and Alfa Mist as well as appearing on recordings and live performances with JSPHYNX.
Nathan has made a name for himself for his relentless energy, highly developed technique and modern approach to his kit. Nathan’s style and influence draws from a mixture of jazz, hip hop and contemporary music and alongside his incredible work behind the kit, he has also established himself as a top producer and performer under the FORC3 name delivering incredible energetic, dark and driving drum & bass Music.
ALEX MAGNI
Alex Magni is a Brazilian professional percussionist, drummer, tutor, and music producer. Now based in the UK, his musical journey has taken him through Brazil, Portugal and the UK, performing, recording and teaching across a super wide variety of musical styles.
Alex’s background in musicology and conservatory training, as well as years of study, has given him an extensive knowledge of drums, percussion, rhythms and the instruments involved. His career includes performances with numerous artists and ensembles as well as his own live percussion act.
Since moving to the UK, Alex has continued to work across a diverse range of musical projects, including Del Camino Salsa Band, Pindorama, Choro UmSeteUm, The Bandidos, Blue Brazil and Blue Lion Band, as well as recording and performing with some of the best UK contemporary jazz artists such as Jas Kayser, Tom Ford and Reuben James.
With Nathan’s modern, high energy drumming combining with Alex’s Latin-rooted percussion style, this performance promises to be much, much more than a couple of drum and percussion solos!
