Martina Barakoska is a drummer and musician who, in her considerably short career, has already built a striking list of achievements. Deep and thoughtful yet energetic and playful, her playing reflects a genuine love of modern music alongside a lasting fascination with the raw power of the drums. Year on year, she has built continuous, deliberate growth around a simple philosophy: individuality, quality, and persistence.

Martina is currently active across touring, recording, and teaching, splitting her time between the stage, the studio, and the classroom. She has worked alongside a wide range of artists, bands, and producers, including Funk Shui, Adam “Cecil” Bartlett, Hans-Martin Buff, MPNG, Woomb, Georgia Delves, Parthenope, Ben Zucker, Nate Logston, Cloudy June, Swindle, Emmy Meli, Joel Culpepper, Anaiis, Luboyna, Vladimir Chetkar, Efterklang, and Duper, among others. These projects have carried her across Europe, the UK, the US, and the Balkans, building a touring and performance profile that spans a genuinely international scene.

Recent highlights include an appearance at NAMM Show 2026, demo work on an upcoming sample pack with KIT Plugins and Evans Hybrid, the Draussen Tour 2025, and a run of summer festivals across Germany with Ben Zucker. She delivered two workshops at UK Drum Show 2025, the largest drum event in Europe, and performed at the debut of Europe Drum Show 2025 in Mike Dolbear’s Room, returning in 2026 for Mike Johnston’s Education Room. She has also begun a new collaboration with Thomann, developing content and creative concepts for their Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels, as well as a partnership with Clouds Hill Studios and KIT Plugins (USA) to create a drum sample pack.

Her education reflects the same discipline: a Claus Hessler Drums Intensive Course Certificate (2022–2023), private study with Dave Elitch and Anika Nilles, and a Master of Arts in Jazz Drums (2022) from FMA Goce Delcev University in Stip. She holds a BMus in Performance: Drums (2016–2020) from FMA Skopje, where she was awarded one of five fully covered scholarships for talented students, and attended Summer Drum Camp Croatia 2019, studying with John Riley, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, Antonio Sanchez, Dave Tull, and Famoudou Don Moye.
