See Joe on Saturday at 17.00 in the Drum Dog Experience Room
Joe Crabtree is the creator of PolyNome and in the Drum Dog Experience Room he’ll give a live demonstration of exactly what it can do. PolyNome has become one of the most powerful practice tools available to drummers, and Joe will walk through everything from programming and hearing any polyrhythm to building playlists, setlists and full practice routines. He’ll also show off the free PolyNome Public Library, so you’ll leave the session knowing precisely how to put the app to work in your own playing.
The clinic is built to be genuinely practical. Whether you are wrestling with your first five-over-four or looking to bring real structure to your daily practice, Joe will show you how the app turns vague intentions into a clear, trackable routine. It is a rare chance to learn the tool directly from the person who designed it.
That depth of knowledge comes from a serious playing and teaching career. Joe is an English rock drummer, best known as a former member of Wishbone Ash and for his work with Pendragon and the David Cross Band. Having coached private students for many years, he spent a short period at the Academy of Contemporary Music before the Wishbone Ash touring schedule pulled him back on the road in 2007.
He launched his online drum school, JoeCrabtree.com, back in 2006, inspired by how much he had learned from DCI music videos. It has since attracted more than 2,000 students, while his YouTube lessons have passed 5 million views. He also creates content for Vic Firth, contributes to Modern Drummer, and writes the regular “Joe Knows” column for Drumhead Magazine.
