In 1994, Dominic formed Reef with Gary, Kenwyn and Jack. Over their career, the band released five albums, including the Platinum-selling number one Glow, and scored five top-twenty singles. Reef toured the world and appeared on countless TV and radio programmes, including The Word, Top of the Pops and Later… with Jools Holland.

During his time with Reef, Dominic was also in demand as a session and live player, working with Ray Davies (The Kinks), Neol Davies (The Selecter) and Peter Gabriel — recording on Gabriel’s album Up and performing with him on Later… with Jools Holland.

While Reef was on hiatus, Dominic co-founded Kubb. Their debut album, Mother, went Gold, and the band spent a year touring Europe, playing summer festivals and appearing on numerous TV shows, including Later… with Jools Holland.

After Kubb, Dominic was invited to join Carbon/Silicon, the band fronted by Mick Jones (The Clash) and Tony James (Generation X), alongside Leo “E-Zee Kill” Williams (Big Audio Dynamite). In addition to UK dates, they toured extensively across the US, playing Coachella and SXSW and appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in Los Angeles and Late Night with Conan O’Brien in New York.

Dominic went on to form his own band, The Black Swan Effect, signing a recording and publishing deal with Real World Records. To promote their debut album Admission, which Dominic also produced, the band supported Peter Gabriel on the South American leg of his world tour.

In recent years, Greensmith is most involved in writing and recording film scores, production, and mixing from his home studio in Somerset.
