Sam is a 14-year-old drummer from Lincolnshire and is honoured and excited to be a young Ambassador for the UK Drum Show.

Sam first picked up the sticks at age 6 and has never looked back. What started as a bit of fun soon became a real passion, and he enjoys challenging himself to keep learning and developing his playing. By the age of 10, he achieved Trinity College London Grade 8, followed by an ATCL Diploma a year later.

Since then, he’s been fortunate to perform at many live events, concerts and festivals. One of his biggest highlights so far has been touring internationally with School of Rock the Musical, playing Freddy Hamilton to audiences across South Korea, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. Along the way, Sam has met and learned from some incredible musicians who have inspired his playing across many different genres.

Music has taken Sam on some incredible adventures so far, but he’s still the same kid who started out drumming for fun. He hopes his story encourages other young drummers to keep practising, enjoy the journey and never be afraid to give things a go.

The UK Drum Show is a real highlight of his year, and Sam can’t wait to see you there.
