Pound Workout

Vicky O’Neon is teaming up with Pound Fitness trainers, Kylie Bond and Jess McKee,
for a special work-out & wellness session

POUND, the phenomenally popular health and wellness program that features loud rock music and exercise drumsticks called “Ripstix”, and was developed by Los Angeles-based drummer Kirsten Potenza, is sending 2 of their ICON Master Trainers – Kylie Bond and Jess McKee – to facilitate an interactive exercise class at The UK Drum Show.

To support the challenging and fun work-out, the trainers will be accompanied by well-known drummer, Vicky O’Neon (Anastacia), who will be playing Roland V-Drums and percussion and incorporating live looping with Ableton Live.

The Pound session is scheduled for noon on Saturday, 30th September in the Hit Like A Girl Lounge at the ACC in Liverpool. Exercise mats and Ripstix will be provided and all convention attendees are invited to participate. Come along and join in with the fun!

Kylie Bond

Kylie is a fitness instructor located in London, teaching in studios Gymbox, 1Rebel and Gymshark. Prior to becoming a Fitness Instructor, her main passion and job was a dancer. She has always had a love for the gym and music so stepping into a role of a fitness instructor was a very natural progression for her.

Kylie found Pound in 2017 and instantly fell in love. The fusion of moving and music had her hooked and she hasn’t looked back since. Kylie became an Icon in 2022 and absolutely loves sharing her skills and knowledge with people so that they can bring Pound into their own communities.

Jess McKee

Starting as a fan of group exercise Jess could see the power fitness had to uplift, shift and move people – physically and emotionally. It seemed an organic transition from class goer to class facilitator. A decade on from leading her first class, Jess has had the honour of presenting as a fitness educator globally and now teaches at London’s top fitness locations: 1Rebel and Gymbox.

In addition to fitness Jess is passionate about mental health. She is a qualified therapist registered with the British Association of Counsellors and psychotherapists and has over 500 hours of yoga teacher training. Jess believes that it is essential to bridge the gap between physical and mental well-being. This is one of the aspects of POUND that Jess has championed— shaping minds as well as bodies.

As one of the first POUND ICONS in Europe, Jess is honoured to have had the opportunity to pass on the permission to rock to so many across the world. Watching people move, have fun and break down limiting beliefs is what motivates Jess daily.
