Jasmine began playing the drums in 2020 and has performed in local music hub ensembles since the age of 8. After viewing her cover of Soul Bossa Nova, Quincy Jones shared it to his Instagram stories, advising her to “keep it up gurl”.

Since then, she has become a member of Stockport Youth Wind Orchestra and Macclesfield Youth Brass Band, taking part in concerts, contests, and international tours. She studies the Trinity Rock and Pop syllabus, where she has reached grade 6 standard, as well as the Classical and Jazz syllabus, where she’s just finishing grade 4.

Jasmine enjoys learning a variety of styles and admires the versatility of drummers such as Migdalia Van Der Hoven, Rowan Thomas, and Greyson Nekrutman. Her favourite artists to listen to are Sam Ryder and Raye.

She attended the UK Drum Show for the first-time last year and is very excited to perform alongside other young drummers at this incredible event.
