Korg UK is the latest big name to sign-up for September’s The UK Drum Show, bringing top brands Mapex, Paiste and Vic Firth back to the show for another year. Also, newly announced by organiser Gold Media and Events, Nicko McBrain’s very own drum store, Drum One, will be making its debut at the show.

‘We’re thrilled to see Korg back at this year’s show bringing some of the biggest brands in drumming with them,’ said organiser Neil Golding. ‘Likewise, the decision of Nicko McBrain’s Drum One to join us is fabulous news. Opened in 2018, Nicko’s store offers customers an instore experience like no other and, the guys from Drum One are working on some very exciting ideas for showgoers to enjoy on their booth’.

The show, which saw exhibitor space sell out three months ahead of doors opening last year, is already well ahead of last year, Golding says. ‘There have been many conversations with the trade since last year’s show, to establish and understand where this new show sits on the annual calendar, and I am very pleased to say that for many, exhibitors that have chosen to return for 2018, they too share our long-term view. For me visitor experience is absolute paramount, offering visitors the opportunity to speak with product experts, visit our brand experience rooms, learn about the latest product innovations and the thought process of why and how, complemented with first class artist performances and clinics.

‘The most striking feature of 2017 was that almost 40% of our drumming visitors had never been to a drum show before, which was somewhat surprising, and with tickets over 100% up compared to the same time last year, the vibe from last year’s show, supported by the hundreds of comments of thanks on social media for us daring to put on a show outside of London, naturally motivates our small team to deliver another fantastic and unique experience this year, along with encouraging others to visit’.

For 2018, we look forward to providing another great show and thank our guests, both returning and new for supporting our dedicated drum and percussion event.
