Biography

After starting off in a punk bands at aged 12, Craig decided after school life was over he didn’t want a ‘proper’ job, and set about finding a way to play music for a living. After studying picking up drums at secondary school, he went on to complete a BA HONS Degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. Studying under tutors like Pete Riley, Mike Sturgis, Jon Duff and Bill Bruford, he graduated with Upper Second Class Honours and since then he has “..somehow managed to get away with playing music for a living.”

With credits with bands such as THE HAARP MACHINE and BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL Craig is no stranger to the UK session scene. Known predominantly for his playing with metal and hardcore bands he has also worked with pop artists like DEAF HAVANA and UK hip-hop MC CHOZE.

As part of the Vic Firth education team and a former writer for Drummer Magazine, Craig splits his time as a session drummer and educator in the UK with his full time gig in New York with alternative hardcore band STRAY FROM THE PATH.

Although not a ‘Youtube Drummer’, Craig’s channel has over 1 million views and covers everything from death metal beats and how to tune drums – right through to playthrough videos of dutch jazz fusion records he has played on!
