Camille was born in Toulouse, France,  from musicians parents. She started drums at 12, when her secondary school music teacher put her in front of drums to play the beat on the kid song “every animal is our friend”. She was self taught a few years on the drums playing along artists like Blur, the Beatles, Coldplay, Muse and Placebo. She decided she wanted to be a professional drummer while watching “Soulmates never die” Dvd from Placebo, thanks to Steve Hewitt (the drummer back then). She begans the guitar, composing and singing a while after. At 16 she entered the conservatory and was introduced to jazz, snare technique, fusion, rock, pop, double bass drumming and rhythmic illusions (Gavin Harrisson’s book is fantastic about that). She got the drums price 5 years later and also finished a musicology jazz degree, while playing with a bunch of rock/pop/progressive rock/jazz fusion compositions bands, including: Xxelles, La théorie des cordes and Breathing Method.

In 2015, she joined Genesya, a tribute to Genesis and had the chance to learn the exact parts of Phil Collins’ drumming. Progressive rock music is taking an important place in her inspirations since then. She also was lucky to quickly find a studio where she could work the drums for a ridiculous price.

Early 2016 she started posting some polyrhythmic ideas from her practice sessions on the social medias and unexpectedly her video got shared all over the world! Thanks to that she was contacted to play on a french rock opera called “Le rouge et le noir” adapted from a french novel. The show gave 86 gigs in 5 months at The Palace in Paris! She also joined the Tama family and a private events orchestra.

In 2017 she went to Los Angeles to figure out how to concretely participate to big auditions. There, she met David Levine, Trx cymbal CEO and creator of Hit like a girl contest, who introduced her to DrumChannel, and then they shot a show called “Veronica One-on-one” with only female drummers as guests (with Veronica Bellino as host). For this show Camille made a first composition to play drums on, called “Room 8”, and kept on composing other play alongs since then. She became an endorsee with Cympad, Remo and Meinl cymbals and started being part of various drums exam judging panel.

In 2018 Camille started giving masterclasses about polyrhythms, ostinatos and odd time signatures,  and taught her first drum camps. She played at some drums festivals, and then shot videos for Drumeo. Currently she’s the new permanent drummer for famous french artist “Jenifer” and french youtuber “PV Nova”, whom are touring in 2019. In the meantime, Camille is working on new compositions and keeps exploring new ideas to share on the drums!
